The retail industry, especially the fashion industry, is being squeezed. New technology and the fickle buying habits of customers mean the game is no longer played by the same rules. Compounding this, retailers are under the illusion that they know their customers really well. The truth is, they really don’t. SAS make it easier for more people to use powerful analytics to get those all-important results. Their platform removes uncertainty, allowing retailers to make better decisions grounded in trusted data and insight.This concept took the shape of a DM piece, waking up the retail industry to the fact that they are making important decisions blindly, because they don’t have a clue who their customers are. The creative vehicle was a storybook about a small boy afraid of the unknown. This parallels a message from SAS, that retailers can achieve a closer relationship with their customers if they first confront the truth and admit that they are in the dark.
